A 14-day trip from Denver to Las Vegas
For our roadtrip Colorado-Vegas, we arrived with the plane in Denver and we rented of course the
car.
It was May, so snow tires were not needed! Our first stop was Vail (156 km-1h30), such an amazing city. We
spent the night there and then we drove through the mountains to reach Silvertorn (418 km-4h30), where we slept.
The following day we drove to Durango(78 km-1h), which seemed like a state capital after Silverton, and we
reached the Mesa Verde National Park (57 km-40min).
Next stop: Monument Valley (207 km-2h30). This park is so impressive, but I
suggest you to drive through it; we started by hiking, but we did not realise how hot and big it was,
so we walked our way back to the car and we hopped back in! The following National Park was The
Arches National Park (239 km-3h), and then we concluded with its Majesty, the Grand Canyon (533 km-5h40). I knew I would
have been left speechless, but I could not imagine the sense of fulfilment I felt while looking at it for
the first time.
Our stops were done, so we drove to Las Vegas (442 km-4h) where we stayed for the last 3 days
before flying back to Denver.
