Pont Alexandre III

PARIS

The city of love, the only one worthy of Rome, the city of blinding lights… many epithets are used to
describe Paris, and each one associated to one of the many faces of the Capital.

This is my fourth year leaving in Paris, and I passed from “Rive Gauhe” (I was in the Latin Quarter,
Place de la Contrescarpe) to “Rive Droite” (in the quarter of Epinettes, so Bobo..!), loving each corner
of it and every experience.
I am not writing a post about the main touristic attraction in Paris, I think we all know them, so I’d
rather give you an insight of the hidden gems of the town, and my favourite spots.

First of all, if like me you love Delacroix, you cannot miss Saint Sulpice and its Delacroix murals. Funny
enough, you will notice the bizarre building in 36 rue Saint Sulpice; it used to be a brothel!

On the other side of the Seine, I highly suggest you to visit the Parc de Buttes-Chaumont, with its
marvellous lake, the Bassin de la Villette, where you can rent an electric boat and navigate up north,
the different passages close to Grands Boulevards (Passage Jouffroy for example), Batignolles and the
new Park Martin Luther King, and finally the Epinettes with its amazing “Cité des fleurs”.
